Clear the West Memphis three!

Amanda Knox is back home in America.  A young person - although an adult, not a teenager - is messing up with everything when she is in a serious situation out of her control. She has done many stupid things, - the worst is that she blames an innocent person without any connection to the crime - and she either acted as in full panic, or she didn´t act at all, kissing her boyfriend in the presence of the police and the press.  Although a murderer is found and has confessed to the crime, she is convicted and is put in jail by the Italian judge, probably mostly because of her behavior. However there was no technical or physical evidence.

It takes four years for the Italian system of justice to admit that they had acted unprofessionally. There is no evidence - period!  And rumors, talking gossip, acting bad is not accepted as legal evidence. So they let her go. No signing of a paper to admit that she should be guilty, or anything else in the same class of stupidity - no they just let her go.

Let´s be very glad that it all didn´t take place in Arkansas. Italy, like most civilized countries in the world, has abandoned the death penalty many decades ago - Arkansas hasn´t. The system of justice in Italy had no difficulty in admitting that they had made a mistake, it took them four years from the start of the case to the end. A long time perhaps, but compared to Arkansas it is nothing.

The eyes of the world are now turning towards the Governor and the Supreme Court of Arkansas. Almost 19 years have passed and the wm3 are still not cleared. They are released from prison as there isn't any technical evidence. But they had to plead guilty to a crime they didn´t commit to get their legal right to freedom. This is a cowardly system of justice. Utterly unfair to three persons and their families who have lost 18 years of their lives, and as utterly unfair for the three small boys that lost their lives, and the state doesn´t care to try to find their real murderer. It´s time to act and restore the reputation of justice in Arkansas. Time to clear the West Memphis three.
